Fall is for Festivals

Fall festivals sign with leaves

The weather is starting to get cooler, the leaves are starting to turn color, and more and more people are starting to think about …. festivals and fairs. Well, at least I am.

Some of the best parts of autumn to celebrate are the seasonal foods, such as fried dough, unique crafts that you can’t find in a store, live local music, smell of food trucks, corn mazes, farm animals, face painting and of course some of the best beers.

Here are my top 5 fair festivals for this fall:

Maine Sunflower Festival Friday  September 8th – Sunday September 10th

Come and stroll through the sunflower fields, visit the farm animals, jump on the jumping pillow, enjoy some fresh kettle corn, brick oven pizza, live music and more at Pumpkin Valley Farm!

Seagrass Music Festival at Maine Craft Distilling Saturday September 17th

Listen to live music while enjoying cold drinks, good food, and fun for the whole family.

Biddeford Octoberfest Saturday September 30th

Heart of Biddeford has teamed up with Banded Brewing Co., Batson River Brewing, and Blaze Brewing to bring one of the best beer traditions right to downtown Biddeford.

There will food trucks and vendors, live music, and yard games! Lorne Wine will be offering a selection of German wines, and Pint & Pawn will be bringing a selection of games in addition to corn hole, ringtoss, and more! This daytime event is family friendly, and we look forward to celebrating with the full community.

Fall Fest Old Orchard Beach 2023 Saturday September 30th

Music, food, fun and the beach!

Freeport Fall Festival Friday October 6th – Sunday October 8th

Visit Freeport brings together over 200 of the best New England artists, makers and local food producers for a three-day festival on the L.L.Bean campus. In addition to browsing local art, there will be three days of live music on the Discovery Stage at the L.L.Bean campus. There are also plenty of free activities for kids from make ‘n take crafts, to scavenger hunts and more.
