Yes! Alouette Beach Resort offers direct beachfront access — you can walk from your room straight onto the sand.

How far is the resort from the OOB Pier and amusement park?

We’re about a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles) from the Pier, Palace Playland, and downtown attractions.

How far are you from other Maine towns?

What’s the difference between ocean view and oceanfront rooms?

Oceanfront means that the room is directly on the beach with full views of the ocean. Nothing blocks your view.

Ocean view means that the room has a partial or angled view of the ocean — not direct or full view.

What does the Aloutte Beach Resort have for Amenities?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is included with your stay.

Is there air conditioning in all rooms?

Yes, all rooms are equipped with AC.

Do you have a pool?

Yes, we have a seasonal Indoor heated pool and seasonal outdoor pool

Do you have a fitness center?

No on-site fitness center, but we do partner with Saco Sport and Fitness (15 minute drive) and guests have complimentary access to this club.

Is there a café on site?

Is there an area to grill?

Yes, we have grills at all 3 of our locations

What about beach rentals?

Yes, we rent out the following items: bikes, chairs, umbrellas, paddleboards, metal detector and we provide for a complimentary beach wheelchair for guests use.

Are pets allowed at the resort?

Pet Policies

Yes! Dog-friendly rooms are available in designated buildings. Please call ahead to reserve a pet friendly unit and review our pet policy.

How does parking work at the Alouette Beach Resort?

Yes, free on-site parking is included for registered guests (one vehicle per unit). Additional parking may be available upon request for an additional fee, IF available.

Does the Alouette Beach Resort accommodate groups?

What time is check-in and check-out?*

  • Check-in starts at 3:00 PM

When booking a reservation is a deposit required?

Yes, a deposit is required at time of booking. The amount may vary by room type and length of stay. Generally, it’s the first night stay. This deposit is applied to room charge.

What is included in your base rate?

Rates are based on double occupancy. For each additional person over the age of 10, there is a charge of $25.00 per person per night. Up to 2 children under the age of 10 may stay free in your room. For each additional child there will be a $25 charge per child per night.

What’s your cancellation policy?

May-October Arrivals — Cancellations/changes to your arrival date made 14 days or more prior to the arrival date are routine and result in a full refund of any deposit, less a cancellation fee.  Routine cancellation fees are $49 (hotel rooms); $79 (apartments); and $125 (luxury suites/cottages). A late cancellation/change is a cancellation/change made with less than 14 days prior to the arrival date and/or a cancellation of one or more nights after check in – it results in a forfeiture of the deposit or one night’s stay whichever is greater.

November-April Arrivals – Cancellations/changes made 72 hours or more prior to the arrival date are routine and result in a full refund of any deposit and ­no cancellation fee.  A late cancellation/change is a cancellation/change made with less than 72 hours prior to arrival date and or a cancellation of one or more nights after check in – it results in a forfeiture of the deposit or one night’s stay whichever is greater.

Do you offer reservation insurance?

Yes we do. With insurance you can cancel/change all reservations with only 72 hours or more notice prior to your arrival date, for any reservation – routine cancellation/change fees will still apply.  Reservation insurance premiums are based on the type of accommodation and length of stay.  Hotel room premiums are $20/night with maximum $80 for the entire stay.  Apartments/Suites/Cottages premiums are $35/night with maximum of $125 for the entire stay. Are there benefits to Booking Direct?

Is there a way to know I am booking direct versus via an OTA (Online Travel Agent)?

When booking online, always pay attention to the search results – and be on the lookout for bogus, imitation sponsored ads from OTAs. Make sure the link points to the hotel’s official domain (alouettebeachresort) or booking engine, not a third-party site. And, when in doubt, start at the hotel’s homepage or call the property.

Is it easier to modify or cancel my reservation when I book direct?

Absolutely. When you book direct, any changes or cancellations are handled quickly and personally by our on-site hotel team– no middleman, no hassle. With OTA reservations, adjustments have to go through large centralized call centers that manage thousands of properties, which often means longer wait times and less flexibility.

What other kinds of benefits do I get when booking directly with the Alouette Beach Resort?

There are several advantages you miss out on when you don’t book direct, including:

Exclusive Offers – When you book through our website, you unlock exclusive offers you won’t see on third-party sites. These specials add extra value to your stay, from savings on longer getaways and seasonal promotions to curated experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

Access to More Availability/Room Types – There are limits on the inventory sold through online travel agencies, so when you book directly, you’ll find the widest availability and most access to every room type – making it easier to choose the perfect fit for your stay.

True Customer Service – From booking to checkout, you’ll work directly with the people who know the property best. Our front-desk staff can tailor recommendations, handle special requests, and anticipate your needs to ensure every detail of your getaway is seamless, stress-free, and exactly the experience you’re looking for. OTAs will never do that.

Also, if you’re traveling with your furry friend, we don’t list pet friendly units on third-party sites.

What are your smoking polices?

To ensure the comfort of our guests and comply with Maine State Law smoking is prohibited at Alouette Beach Resort.  There is no smoking in guest rooms, common areas (inside or out), patios or balconies.  We have a designated smoking area that we can point you to while here. We ask that you be respectful of our neighbors. We charge a cleaning fee of $200 if there is smoking in the rooms.

How does housekeeping work?

Do you have daily housekeeping?

We offer full housekeeping services during your visit. To ensure the comfort of both our guests and staff, we do not enter rooms when guests or pets are present.

If you prefer not to receive housekeeping service, simply place your Do Not Disturb sign on your door between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Otherwise, we’ll assume you’d like your room freshened up. Please note that if personal belongings are left on the bed, housekeeping will not be able to make it.

If you choose to opt out of housekeeping, you’re always welcome to stop by the office for fresh towels, amenities, or anything else you may need.
