SUMMARY:Fuel Rally Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Project GRACE’s annual Fuel Rally is coming up! Support this fundraiser on Saturday\, February 8 at the Scarborough Public Library from 10:00am-Noon. The rally raises critical funds for fuel assistance for neighbors in need\, with a goal of $25\,000—about 7\,000 gallons of oil or k1\, or about 70 ‘helps’ to get a neighbor through the winter.The event will also feature other community organizations like Scarborough Lions Club\, Rotary\, Kiwanis\, Scarborough Marsh Audubon Center\, Friends of the Library\, and the Historical Society\, along with the Town’s Public Safety crew. DESCRIPTION:Come learn about which of Maine’s animals hibernate! Join Scarborough Land Trust’s volunteer educator Kelly Pietrzak for stories\, songs\, and a craft. Children are encouraged to bring along a stuffed animal that can be seen in Maine. \nWe will discuss how the real animal manages in our winter environment. Dress warmly and bring something to sit on\, we will be outside for story time\, if the weather permits\, before heading inside to complete a craft.
