SUMMARY:THE GHOST TRAIN at Biddeford City Theater
DESCRIPTION:THE GHOST TRAIN\nOctober 29th – October 31st\n\n\nA long running success in London and on Broadway and packed with thrills\, chills and laughter. In Maine near the Canadian border there’s a legend of a phantom locomotive sweeping through a peaceful village leaving death in its wake. For sheer\, creeping mystery\, it’s a play without a peer. \nPerformance Dates: October 15-31 (no show Oct 17)\nFridays + Saturdays at 7:30 PM | Sundays at 2:00PM\nClick here to purchase tickets or call the Box Office at 282-0849 \nCast: \nRICHARD WINTHROP: Ben Keller \nELSIE WINTHROP: Rebecca Cole \nCHARLES MURDOCK: Logan Merrithew \nPEGGY MURDOCK: Victoria Stackpole \nTEDDIE DEAKIN: Seth Crockett \nSAUL HODGKIN: Jeff Campbell \nMISS BOURNE: Kathleen Rendich \nJULIA PRICE: Jessica Dunton-Fidalgo \nHERBERT PRICE: Tad Williams \nJOHN STERLING: Brian Philip Harris \nJACKSON: Owen White \nCOVID-Safe Protocols (updated October 3\, 2021)\n\n\nYour safety and the safety of our cast\, crew and staff are our first concern. Please know that we will always meet or exceed state and local regulations. \n\n\nCOVID Vaccine / Negative Test Policies and Procedures \nDue to the surge of COVID-19 Delta variant and the dramatic increase of hospitalized Mainers\, City Theater is changing its COVID policy to help ease the current burden of the medical system. \nTherefore\, anyone entering City Theater (Staff\, Board\, Patron\, Actor\, Volunteer) must either be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours prior to entering the theater. There are no exemptions from this policy. \nCity Theater will consider someone fully vaccinated as long as they have received at least 2 doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or 1 dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine within the past year; City Theater will consider either the PCR or Antigen test (whether rapid or lab). \nPatrons will have to show either a vaccination card (actual card or clear picture) or a negative test before entering the building as verified by City Theater staff and volunteers. Patrons will also be required to verify their identity at the door (driver’s license\, photo ID\, other verification methods\, etc.). If using a negative test as verification\, documentation must clearly show the patrons name\, date of the test\, and result. \nThose who are unable or unwilling to provide documentation can receive a refund or change tickets\, but only by emailing the City Theater box office at boxoffice@citytheater.org. \nDue to this change in policy\, masks will not be required at a City Theater show; however\, due to the high number of cases\, mask wearing is strongly recommended for all patrons unless actively eating or drinking. \nThis policy is in effect through 10/31/21 and may be changed\, updated\, or extended as needed. \nNOTE: This policy is also pertains to all City Theater staff\, actors\, and volunteers; therefore\, City Theater volunteers must also provide proof of vaccination status or negative COVID test as outlined above. However\, unlike patrons\, volunteers must wear a mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking. \n\n\n\n\nUpdates to our air quality\nWe have installed a new ionization filtering unit to our HVAC system for the theater and there is a new UV light air filtering system in our lobby. The safety of our audience\, volunteers and performers is always our first concern. \nSanitation\nWe will be thoroughly sanitizing all surfaces in the restrooms\, lobby\, and in the theater before the show\, Hand Sanitizer & Disinfecting Wipes are available throughout the theater. \nBox Office\nAdvance reservations are encouraged. You can reserve tickets online or over the phone at 207-282-0849.

DESCRIPTION:After twenty years of un-wedded bliss Georges and Albin\, two men partnered for better-or-worse get a bit of both when Georges’ son (fathered during a one-night fling) announces his impending marriage to the daughter of a bigoted\, right-wing politician. Further complicating the situation is the ‘family business’: Albin and Georges run a drag nightclub in St. Tropez\, where Albin is the “star” performer ‘Zaza’. SUMMARY:La Cage Aux Folles
Georges reluctantly agrees to masquerade as “normal” when he meets the family of the bride-to-be. But Albin has other plans\, with hilarious results. \n“This is Jerry Herman’s best musical yet–happier\, more assertive\, more buoyant than Hello Dolly! or Mame.” – The New York Post \n“The schmaltziest\, most old-fashioned major musical since Annie. Highly enjoyable.” – The New York Times \n\n“Carry your maiden aunt off to La Cage aux Folles…It’s a family show\, a glittering\, fast stepping extravaganza.”-New York Daily News

SUMMARY:On Golden Pond
DESCRIPTION:This is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer\, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth year. He is a retired professor\, nearing eighty\, with heart palpitations and a failing memory—but still as tart-tongued\, observant and eager for life as ever. Ethel\, ten years younger\, and the perfect foil for Norman\, delights in all the small things that have enriched and continue to enrich their long life together. They are visited by their divorced\, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiancé\, who then go off to Europe\, leaving his teenage son behind for the summer. The boy quickly becomes the “grandchild” the elderly couple have longed for\, and as Norman revels in taking his ward fishing and thrusting good books at him\, he also learns some lessons about modern teenage awareness—and slang—in return. In the end\, as the summer wanes\, so does their brief idyll\, and in the final\, deeply moving moments of the play\, Norman and Ethel are brought even closer together by the incidence of a mild heart attack. Time\, they know\, is now against them\, but the years have been good and\, perhaps\, another summer on Golden Pond still awaits.

SUMMARY:It's A Wonderful Life
DESCRIPTION:This 1940s “live broadcast” of Frank Capra’s beloved film takes us back to the Golden Age of Radio. George Bailey and all the residents of Bedford Falls\, as you’ve never seen – or heard — them before in this fresh new adaptation of the film is set in the fictional studio of WVL Radio Theatre on a cold\, snowy winter night. Due to the blizzard\, the professional voice actors are unable to get through\, but the show must go on — so a small but intrepid band of employees manage to create the dozens of movie characters and scenes using just their voices and a sound effects table.
