Prior to our recent vacation, my wife had never been to Maine and it had been 18 years since my last visit to OOB. I browsed through a few web pages and decided on The Alouette/Beach Resorts as our destination. I couldn't have hoped for more! From our arrival, through to checkout, the ownership and staff were very accomodating and helpful. We woke each morning with the ocean as our front yard and returned later each day to a clean and restocked room. "Family and kids loved it”

First of all we all really enjoyed are stay at the Alouette. I've been coming to OOB for many of years both with my family and with my parents when I was a kid. We always stayed on the other side of the street where the train tracks are located. Not anymore. It was I, my wife and 3 young children ages 4-10 and we stayed in room #53. Couldn't of been more pleased with the stay. We had a cart for one of the children and they all took turns nightly sleeping on it. The room was very spacious even with the cart in it. I can go on and on about the stay but some of the most memorable parts were: We were right on the beach, the view from the room balcony was fantastic (We even slept with the screen on and the door open at night to awaken to the sight, smell and sound of the beach). The pool was very clean and the kids loved it. The owners and staff were fantastic anything you needed you became top priority. Continental breakfast was also nice. Nothing beat a 30 second walk from the room to the beach to go fly kites late in the afternoon. I look forward to staying there again in 2009. Thank You (© 2008 TripAdvisor, Inc. This is the second year in a row some friends and I rented rooms at the Alouette and it was awesome...they were extremely accommodating. They are a family owned hotel and made us feel like part of the family while there. They had a free continental breakfast which was perfect, we had plenty to eat without overdoing it. "Great Girls Getaway"

A group of 6 or 7 of us run away from home once a year, and we chose to return to the Alouette for the second time this year. We stay in their condo, and it works out perfectly for us. We all enjoyed lots of walks on the beach. The owners and staff are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the weekend goes by way too quickly. (© 2008 TripAdvisor, Inc. This is the perfect place for walking the beach, we stayed in millie a or b which is a cottage right on the beach. There is a kitchenette w/ everything you need to make meals in including coffee maker and cofee, microwave etc. This is a very charming place w/ an indoor pool ,onsite laundry ,breakfast is available in the little cafe on site. I cant say enough good things about the people who work there, you hardly ever see housekeeping although your rooms are always cleaned by the time you come back from the beach. Unless of course you never leave the resort which isnt hard to do either. We love going to old orchard and we will make our plans according to availability at The Alouette Beach Resort. You wont regret making your reservations early, then relax and enjoy and if you need anything Fred at the front desk will do all he can to accomodate you. p.s its so close to the activities and shopping ( 10 min walk on the beach or sidewalk.) Absolutley amazing hotel. Terrific views of the beach,steps away from the beach.This hotel has a great varity of rooms to choose from, whether you are a family, couple or single (or even more than 1 family) they have a perfect accomodation for your needs.Many rooms have kitchens,sofa beds and are very clean. There is even an indoor pool for rainy days! This hotel has everything... laundromat,restaurant,b-b-q's... We have stayed here 3 times and have not been disappointed! Great for families! The room had two queen beds, digital cable, fridge, microwave, and a patio with slider looking out to the ocean. It was about 5 steps from the parking lot to the beach sand. You can hear the ocean from your room as you are right there.(© 2007 TripAdvisor, Inc. All rights reserved.)

This was our first trip to Maine. We take our dogs (2 golden retrievers) with us everywhere. I called and spoke with the owner, Mr. Kennedy. He told us to bring the dogs. We spent four nights at the Alouette in June. The weather was baking hot, and our 18 month old daughter was waking very early because of the heat. In two minutes we could be dressed, out of our cabin, and on the beach. One morning we were on the beach at 6:15 AM! The staff at the Alouette were fantastic. (© 2007 TripAdvisor, Inc. We have stayed at the Alouette Beach Resort 3 times in the past year and have booked 2 more trips. For the past 8 years a group of women get together and go away for a few days, we do this a couple of times a year. I was looking for a place on the beach for a mini vacation. This motel IS ON the beach. Short walk down the beach to the pier, eating and shopping. The house we were renting here in OOB was sold suddenly, and we needed a place to stay short-term. Even early in the season, there weren't many options that would accept our family, including our two dogs and a cat. The Alouette did, and it is the least I can do to extend a great atta boy to Fred and his crew at the Alouette and Beach Walk Hotels. You'll get the most bang for your buck here in OOB. I just got back from a long weekend at the Alouette Hotel in Old Orchard Beach, ME. We were treated like we were royalty by the owners...they were friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The Accommodations were fantastic. My wife and i just came back from an off season holiday on old orchard beach. we stayed at the alouette beach resort. its clean, comfortable and very relaxing. the staff is really something. we stayed in rm#3. really nice with a great view of the ocean. the folks who run it "the Kennedys" are great and treat you as one of the family. we cant wait to go back. old orchard is great in the summer, but its beautiful up there in the fall, and the Kennedys will help you out with directions for dining or foliage runs. great time, very relaxing. My girlfriend and I just got back from an end-of-season stay at the Alouette. Loved it from start to finish! The desk staff was super friendly, and happily let us check in early. My husband and I stayed in Room 50 the first Weekend in August. We were quite surprised at what a wonderful hotel it was. The location was perfect: close enough to walk to the "Pier" where all the action was but far enough away that the noise didn't affect us. The beach was fabulous. It was clean and so convenient to our ocean front room. The room was as we expected for a seasonal hotel. It's not the Ritz but it certainly was to our satisfaction. It was always neat and very clean. The staff was fabulous and the food at the restaurant was wonderful. I had expected to be sightseeing throughout our vacation - but the hotel & beach was so relaxing that we spent 95% of our time enjoying the resort. We have stayed at the Alouette a lot of times. We have a great time every year. Their beach is beautiful, the staff is courteous and helpful and there's an easy, relaxing family atmosphere.
